Our Vision
Raleigh Road is a place to GROW! We are a community of believers who seek to Grow in their knowledge of and relationship with Christ. Part of that Growth process is seeking to reach those who do not know Christ in our families, communities, and around the world.
We believe God has called all believers to walk obediently in their relationship with Christ by:
- Growing: At RRBC, we desire to constantly draw nearer to Christ by regularly studying His Word and gathering for Worship. So that, the Body of Christ is Equipped and Empowered to fulfill God’s calling on their lives! (Hebrews 13:20-22, Ephesians 3:20-4:16, 2 Timothy 3:13-17)
- Giving: At RRBC, we desire to invest in the ministry of the Church and the advancement of the Gospel by Serving with my Spiritual Gifts and Resources. (2 Cor. 8:1-6, 9:6-15, 2 Cor. 11:12-29, 12:7-10)
- Going: At RRBC, we desire to be a Sent people! We desire to live in radical obedience to following Christ and taking the Gospel to those who have yet to be reached! (Matthew 28:18-20, 1 Peter 2:9)
We seek to be the catalyst God uses to bring about true and lasting change in the world around us which is marred by sin.
If you are looking for a place to Grow, then Grow with us as we seek to draw others to Him!
Our Values
Evangelism
Evangelism is sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with others. The heart of the Great Commission is evangelism and disciple-making. These are not different but the same. Jesus Christ commanded His followers to go and make disciples of all nations. Obedience to this command requires intentional and personal involvement of sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with people who do not know Him personally. We seek to introduce people to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a personal relationship with our church. We ask all our members to share their Story with others and invite the unchurched to attend Raleigh Road. (Matthew 28:18-20)
Membership
We are social beings who need fellowship with God and with other believers. Other believers will encourage and challenge us to live for Christ and hold us accountable. The Church also provides us the opportunity to strive together, through the strengths and gifting that God has given each of us, for the upward Call of Christ. We seek to introduce people to Christ and connect them to the Raleigh Road Church Family. We encourage active membership in the Body of Christ at Raleigh Road. (Romans 12)
Worship
Our greatest privilege is to worship our King Jesus. Personal, private, and devotional worship is important. God also commands us to participate in corporate and collective worship. We seek to lead believers in discovering authentic worship. We ask each member of Raleigh Road to engage in corporate worship on a consistent basis. (John 4:23-24)
Discipleship
Jesus invited people to follow Him. Discipleship is about being a follower of Jesus Christ. We are to be discipled and to disciple others. As we learn to follow Him and lead others to Him, we will fulfill the Great Commandment and the Great Commission. A disciple is also a learner. We learn about Jesus Christ through studying God’s Word, the Bible, and praying. God also uses preachers and teachers to help us learn about Him and what His plans for us are all about. We seek to teach believers foundational truth for Christian living. We ask each member of Raleigh Road to participate in a Small Group or Sunday School Class. (Colossians 1:9-12)
Ministry
God has created, saved, called, and gifted us for ministry. Every believer is a minister and every minister is important. You are most effective and fulfilled in ministry when you use your spiritual gifts and abilities for the glory of the Lord. The greatest need in churches is to empower members for spiritual growth and ministry. We seek to train believers in discovering their ministry gifts and equipping them to impact their world for Jesus Christ. We ask each member of Raleigh Road to serve in at least one area of ministry. (Mark 10:45)
